I have a totally amazing group of friends that I have met through blogging.
All are inspirational, talented and generous women, full of passion for what they do. I am thrilled to be featuring some of them on the blog today! They have all come together to give a special Christmas gift to one of you. There are books, tea and chocolates! A blissful hamper of goodies for you to relax with and enjoy over the silly season.
♥ Melanie Avery from Let’s Live Additive Free.
Melanie is a mum to three gorgeous children, Mackenzie 11 years, Bella 10 years and Connor 8 years. Her additive free journey began nearly four years ago when she discovered her daughter had reactions to food additives.
Let’s Party! Additive Free began so that Melanie could share her growing knowledge and awareness about food additives with as many people as possible, in turn providing them with the tools to make a difference to their lives.
From this passion, Let’s Party! Additive Free was written to help parents provide their children with fun and colourful party without the children going ‘crazy’ from all of the chemical additives, particularly colours, flavours and preservatives. Let’s Celebrate Christmas! Additive Free, is a guide for creating a joyous, festive and additive-free Christmas.
“I love that every day I have the opportunity to help, support or inspire a variety of people who are all at varying stages in their additive free journey. To know that by my sharing of information and knowledge, I have made a difference to the life of even one child and their family, brings an amazing feeling of gratitude and warmth – this is why I do what I do.” Mel
♥ Kristen Morrison from Naturally Better Kids.
Giving birth to a child with Down syndrome led Kristen Morrison on an incredible journey including writing her book, Naturally Better Kids. She made ground-breaking discoveries which she believes can be used by other parents to help their children achieve their full potential. Naturally Better chronicles her son’s early years including diary entries, research detail and discussion in laymans terms which help to explain why these methods are effective in building a healthy body and brain – for any child. Natural therapies can have a profound effect on the health and well being of any person. Through her experiences with her own family – and more intensely with her son, Kristen has come to understand the importance of natural therapies not only for general health, but also for maximising brain function and behaviour in children.
“My work in helping my son learn to read, crawl and run has been fulfilling beyond my wildest expectations of life as a stay-at-home-mother. Our achievement of extraordinary health with no sign of immune system weakness or ‘mental deficiency’ has been exciting beyond belief, and at 5 years old our son is beautiful, funny and clever – against the odds.” Kristen
♥ Wendy Blume from Vegie Smugglers.
Wendy is the creative genius behind the very popular, Vegie Smugglers. She is also an illustrator, graphic designer and home cook who spends most nights in the kitchen trying to feed two fussy children. The Vegie Smugglers blog and cookbooks are her labour of love aimed at helping all of you out there in the same situation. Her recipes are tasty, easy, family friendly and sneak in lots of vegetables. No wonder parents around Australia love her!
“As with so many aspects of parenting, issues that you think are just yours turn out to universal. Apparently I was not alone in my need for recipes that snuck healthy food into headstrong and resistant little people. Whether it’s no meat, hating greens or avoiding mush, the eating fads of our children are something we all struggle with.” Wendy

♥ Amanda Bromley from The Organic Store.
Amanda is a passionate organic lover and mum of two who runs her online store from sunny Noosa. She considered herself to be relatively healthy and a consumer of ‘healthy’ products until she fell pregnant with her first child in 2009. Amanda noticed her body started reacting to a number of the ‘mainstream’ products (household cleaners, body products and the like).
So, her household made the switch to an organic and simple way of life and this soon led to The Organic Store. Amanda is passionate about supporting the Australian organic movement. The Organic Store now retails a range of Australian organic baby, beauty, home and wellbeing products, many from small family producers who are new to market and are looking for a retail avenue to break into the Australian organic market.
One of her most popular products is the Australian, organic tea range from Tea Tonic. Formulated by a naturopath, it will have you converted to a tea lover instantly! Check out Amanda’s just released organic Christmas gift packs under $30!
♥ Joanne Musgrave from Shop Naturally.
Joanne lives the lifestyle Shop Naturally promotes. As a sufferer of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS), the range has been developed for those like her, needing and/or wanting to rid harmful toxins from their lives. Joanne has just completed training to become a Holistic Health Coach. She’s using her new found knowledge to expand the range in her online health food store.
Joanne loves the clean eating philosophy and also the 80/20 rule, spending 80% of the time eating for nutrition and 20% of the time for pleasure. Luckily for us, the organic chocolate range at Shop Naturally gets to make an appearance in the 80%!
Both the Loving Earth and the Pana Chocolate are raw, certified organic, with many being fortified with superfoods & antioxidants and sweetened either with low GI coconut sugar or organic agave. Enjoy these sweet treats as a ‘sometimes’ pleasure without any guilt.
Joanne also writes about her wellness journey at her blog, Getting My Act Together.
I told you they were amazing, didn’t I?
