I have missed the Love List the past few months, so the April one is going to be a bumper issue! There are so many things that I have been loving!
♥ Eco Tan deodorant and sunscreen.
Most of you would be familiar with the Eco Tan brand. Sonya Driver’s natural tanning range has been enormously popular! Since then, the range has expanded to include lots of other products under the name Eco by Sonya. With thanks to The Organic Beauty Shop, I have been trialling the sunscreen and the coconut deodorant.
First up the sunscreen – it has a spf of 30, has UVA and UVB protection and is water-resistant for up to three hours. I sent it along with my son on his recent excursion to Great Keppel Island – a whole day in the sun is a great test of a sunscreen and it held up really well. It’s not too thick and sticky to apply either.
Now I was a bit skeptical about the deodorant because I have tried other natural spray deodorants before and they were not very effective. However, I can say that this one keeps you smelling good all day. You must dry your armpits thoroughly before use and use a good amount though ( I find that with all natural deodorants). The best part about this deodorant is that it’s hygienic. Unlike a roll-on, you are not getting bacteria back into the product as it doesn’t touch the skin. Something I hadn’t really thought of before – but it makes sense! It has a very mild, fresh scent, so it can be used by male or female. I like it!
Stefanie at The Organic Beauty Shop is kindly giving one of you the chance to try these out as well! Woohoo! All you have to do to win an Eco by Sonya deodorant and sunscreen is leave a comment on this blog post letting me know you are in! Please read the terms and conditions at the bottom of this post. This giveaway has closed. The winner was Sarah SC.
She is also giving us all a very nice 10% off all Eco Tan and Eco By Sonya products until the 30th of June. Just use the code: NNAM. Thanks Stefanie!
♥ Rooibos and Fressko Flask. I am seriously addicted to rooibos tea! I have had to cut out a significant amount of caffeine due to adrenal fatigue (any caffeine puts stress on your adrenals). Rooibos is similar in flavour to black tea, but with a slight honey taste. Yummo. The girls at Crio Bru Australia have a new ground Red Espresso Rooibos out and it’s delicious. Roobios has zero caffeine and it has five times more antioxidants than green tea (can’t stand that stuff!) Great to brew in the Fressko flask – it has its own filter so you can brew all sorts of hot drinks or make fruit infused water. It’s insulated, so stays hot or cold for hours. The kids keep wanting to steal it, but I am not sharing this one!
♥ That Sugar Film. This movie has been creating a huge buzz over the last few months. It was very powerful viewing and one that I think that everyone should see. Find out more details at their website or pick up a copy of the book here.
♥ Upcycled Craft Aprons. So easy and so cute. Using the leg of an old pair of jeans, you can make your little pumpkins a super-cool apron for craft or cooking. Get the tutorial at Happy Hooligans.
♥ Kosmea Rescue Balm. I am so in love with this product!! It’s one of those all purpose balms and for me, the perfect alternative to pawpaw ointment. It’s full of rosehip, helichrysum and calendula oil. We have been using it for everything from pimples to chaffing, insect bites, cracked lips and more. It works so quickly, I was amazed. Great to have in the handbag for all sorts of emergencies. Get it online here.
♥ Making Mandala Art with Kids. Such a great idea and a fun activity to do outside with the kids. Find out more at the Playful Learning website.
♥ Meals that Cook Themselves. The always popular Wendy from Vegie Smugglers has a new book out in time for winter – it’s all about slow cooker and rice cooker meals. As always, it’s a cracker. It’s only $4.95 or you can get it for free with her awesome hard copy book, Kitchen Collection. Check them out here.
♥ 4 My Earth New Range. If you are a long term NNAM reader, you will know how much I love 4 My Earth! Rebecca has a new, fresh range out with five new funky prints and a new food bag. It’s a little bit smaller than the bread bag so it’s perfect for cheese (just what I needed) veges, muffins etc. It also doubles as a lunch bag if you need extra room. The range is made of durable canvas and can be easily washed. The best thing about 4 My Earth is that it replaces plastic wrap and bags! Check them out at Rebecca’s online store.
