Just coming out of Plastic Free July when plastic milk bottles became my ultimate bug. Great to see some practical uses instead of just tossing them into landfill! One we do at home for our pets during summer is freeze a few and put them in the bunny and guinea pig cages and they love to lie on them on the heat…when defrosted simply refreeze.

We have also made a fruit picker by cutting the bottom off of a laundry detergent jug, and then inserting a bamboo pole into the handle of the inverted jug. This works for pears, peaches and apples 🙂

Torments me how much plastic I throw away* and this will help reduce it…as my brain is so frazzled I’ve struggled to think of ideas.
*I don’t trust that my recyclables are actually being recycled! I’ve witnessed the trucks just dump it all in the same space in the back of the truck!
