Love List ~ October 18

I haven’t done a Love List in ages and I quickly realised the year was slipping by very fast! There are so many awesome things and some exciting news that I want to share with you.

Check out what my made my latest Love List!

♥ Amazing Oils Baby Calm Gel

I have been using Amazing Oils magnesium products for years! I absolutely love how well they work and of course I love supporting a family-owned Aussie business.

Amazing Oils has just released a roll-on magnesium gel specifically for babies and small kids. Magnesium Chloride can help kids with sleep, irritability, restlessness and growing pains.

The roll-on makes it easy to apply and gently massage into their feet and lower legs before bed-time. You could also keep it in your handbag for when you are out and about too!

Check out the Baby Calm Gel here.

♥ Waters Co Water Filter

I have had my Waters Co Water Filter for over five years now and I absolutely love it! I am so excited to share that I have just teamed up with this amazing Aussie company as an ambassador.

I will be talking more about Waters Co in coming articles, but I wanted to let you know the news and give you the heads up about a great sale they are having. You can save up to $100 on a water filter right now!

Get Waters Co Water Filters here.

♥ Shine From Within

This gorgeous new book from Amanda Rootsey is a beautiful resource for teenage girls. Amanda runs Shine from Within workshops on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and has put all of her brilliant advice into a book!

Shine From Within helps girls navigate their teen years with a positive, fresh take on self-image and overall wellbeing. Amanda’s relatable and down to earth approach in this book will appeal to teen girls looking for some gentle ‘big sister’ guidance.

Get Shine from Within here.

♥ Berry Yum Biotics Bar

I had every intention of taking some beautiful photos of these bars, but the teenagers demolished the lot before I had a chance. Two thumbs up from everyone here!

Nutra Organics whole food bars are one of the very few packaged snacks I am happy to give to my family to eat. The ingredients are brilliant and they are only $2.65 a bar!

With real raspberries and blueberries for flavour, they are certified organic, all natural, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free and they taste soooo good! Keep in mind that they are still a treat food but one that has better quality ingredients packed with vitamins, minerals and probiotics.

Get Berry Yum Biotics Bars here.

♥ Patch Organic Strips

Finally! Band-aids that are not plastic! Aussie-owned company, Patch, has made these awesome  hypoallergenic, biodegradable organic strips. And packaged in a plastic-free, re-usable cardboard tube. Genius.

Made with 100% organic bamboo fibre, they come in plain or enriched with wound-healing aloe vera, coconut oil or activated charcoal. These bandages are completely natural and safe unlike regular band-aids which have toxins that can irritate the skin.

Get Patch Bandages here.

♥ Stainless Steel Pegs

These stainless steel pegs have a lifetime warranty! In an age when everything is disposable, it’s nice to see more ‘purchase for life’ products becoming available.

Guaranteed to never rust, break or lose their spring, they are made from high quality stainless steel in a clever one piece design. I love that they eliminate the waste that comes from plastic pegs that perish and disintegrate.

Get Stainless Steel Pegs here.  For 10% off your first order, use the code: NNAM10

♥ The Mad Food Science Program™

I am sure you have already heard of the brilliant work that my friends Bel and Israel Smith at The Root Cause are doing around Australia with The Mad Food Science Program. The big news is that they now have 12 certified instructors around Australia to deliver the program to even more kids.

They have had huge success with getting kids to eat more fruit and vegetables through their ground-breaking, interactive school incursions featuring fun science experiments. If your school hasn’t experienced the Mad Food Science Program yet, enquire about how you can make it happen.

I am 100% behind these guys – they are really make a difference to our kids’ health and I could not be prouder!!

Find out how to get the Mad Food Science Program in your school here.

Love List ~ June 18

Love List ~ June 18

In this edition of the Love List, I have six amazing products for you to check out. What have you discovered lately that you are loving? Let me know.

♥ Handshine Handwash

Aussie mums, Alisa and Danni from 123 Nourish Me have done it again with another amazing product made from quality organic ingredients. This time it’s hand wash called Handshine. But, it’s not just a hand wash, you can also use it as a shampoo, body wash and bubble bath.

We are loving it! It leaves skin nourished and soft and the pink grapefruit and organic apple make it smell delicious. 123 Nourish Me is fast becoming my favourite brand for not only their hard-working, effective products, but for their uncompromising quality and ethics.

Check it out here.

♥ Hippie Mamas Book

“Hippie in City” Rita Balshaw has just released a new book all about holistic pregnancy, birth, babies and beyond.

Hippie Mamas has a wealth of information about how to take care of yourself and your babies with aromatherapy, nutrition, herbs, natural remedies and self-care. There are loads of recipes for nourishing food and DIY beauty and health remedies that I can’t wait to try.

With beautiful illustrations and an easy-to-read format, Rita’s beautiful book is a fantastic resource for all mums and would make a really thoughtful and useful gift for a baby shower or blessingway.

You might even find Natural New Age Mum listed in the resource section! 😉

Get it here (on sale at the moment!)

♥ Mystic Essential Oil Candle

I am a huge fan of beautiful online store, Lemon Canary!

It’s actually quite hard to find good quality candles that are made with just pure essential oils and not fragrance oils. Fiona, a natural new age mum from the Gold Coast, has an exquisite range of 100% pure essential oils blends that she hand crafts into gorgeous high vibrational products like these candles, massage oils, soaps and mists.

I am loving the MYSTIC blend at the moment but well, I can’t really pick a favourite! All of the essential oil range is blended with lots of thought and love to create something quite special. You can also get LOVE, MEDITATE, DREAM, GRATEFUL and HAPPY!

Find them here.

♥ Note to Self Cards

Some of you know that my friendship with Alisha at Naughty Naturopath Mum stretches back many years now. She is a very special soul with a huge heart and I have often been the recipient of her wise, gentle and loving advice. Somehow, she always knows just what to say!

Well, all of you can now benefit from her wisdom because she’s just released a beautiful set of cards, Note to Self. These cards are like having Alisha as your personal life coach, friend and cheerleader all in a little box!

You can use them as oracle cards to give you guidance.  Shuffle the cards while thinking of a problem or something you need help with and pull a card you feel drawn to. The front of the cards has a short message and on the back of the card is the sentiment explained in more detail.

Get them from Alisha here.

♥ Good Fat Mayo

This mayonnaise is the answer to all my mayonnaise problems. I love mayo and I love making it myself at home but it does take a little time to organise (the eggs and ingredients need to be at room temperature) and it doesn’t last very long in the fridge. Not great for spontaneously needing mayo!

Most mayonnaise you buy from the supermarket contains toxic seed oils, usually canola and usually contains a whole host of other weird things you don’t want to be eating either.

Good Fat Mayo is made with olive oil, free range eggs and all natural ingredients and it’s packaged in a glass jar. Woohoo!

Get it here.

♥ Elate Universal Creme

Are you a bit of a low-maintenance/minimalist person like me when it comes to makeup? Or maybe you just don’t have time to spend putting it on in the mornings? Well, the Universal Creme is our new best friend.

You can use this creme as a blush or lipstick and even on your eyes.  It comes in five different colours so you can choose one that suits your skin tone. I love that it’s packaged in a reusable (and funky) bamboo container that you can get refills for. Zero-waste, plastic-free beauty!

Seriously, how has nobody thought of this before!?

Elate make a whole range of lush cosmetics that are vegan, cruelty-free and of course made from all natural, quality ingredients.

Check it out here.

Love List ~ Feb 18

A new year is upon us and I have been busting to tell you all about some amazing new products that have been released! So many more innovative people making awesome things that are good for us and the planet.

♥ Hello Sunshine Natural Sunscreen

The amazing Alisa and Danni from 123 Nourish Me have released a cracking natural sunscreen and people are going crazy for it!! It’s got an SPF rating of 30 and also comes in a small wind-up stick which is perfect for the handbag, nappy bag or for the kids to take to school.

There are no nasty toxins here! Hello Sunshine is made with organic, quality ingredients that will not harm our families or our oceans and reefs.

It has a very subtle vanilla scent, goes on smoothly and sinks in without leaving a greasy white residue. I tested it out on my family and everyone is a fan, particularly the fair skinned ones!

Keep an eye on my Facebook and Instagram, where I will share a video of using it on the skin.

Get it here.   PS get 10% off with the code: HELLOTEN

♥ Cheeki Leakproof Stainless Steel Lunchbox

This is what mums everywhere have been waiting for and wanting. A stainless steel lunchbox that is affordable and leak proof!!

This new one from Cheeki is double layered and has a silicone seal under the lid (which doesn’t touch your food) – genius. There are three variations: double stacked, regular and large so you can find a size that suits you.

Get them here.

♥ Fur Baby Pet Support Essence

Alisha from Naughty Naturopath Mum has just released her brand new blend and it’s all about supporting our furry friends.

If you are a long time reader, you will know we have a dastardly dachshund called Wilbur. Dachshunds tend towards being anxious, having loud barks and being notoriously difficult to train. We have had a lot of trouble over the years with continual barking – in his mind, he is protecting the family against perceived threats. That means he’s a great guard dog but even falling leaves can make him go crazy!

I have been testing the Fur Baby Pet Support essences for just over a week now and we are pleasantly surprised! We have been popping them in his water bowl daily and he was calmer over all.  On several occasions when he got himself into a barking loop, we administered directly into his mouth (that was fun!!!!) Within five minutes he had settled right down and stopped barking. Woohoo! I am calling that a win.

If you want to try them out, they can also be used for settling traumatised and rescue pets, nerves and fear, travel, vet visits, loneliness, separation and any antisocial behaviours! Find them here.

♥ Eco by Sonya Face Compost Mask

Another gorgeous product from Eco Tan founder, Sonya Driver. This is a lush organic seven minute face mask made with superfoods and antioxidants.

It’s designed to cleanse, soothe, brighten and draw out impurities. I know my skin needs a little TLC right now, so this is just the ticket.

Get it here.

♥ WayCap Stainless Steel Coffee Pods

Australians use and throw away over a billion single-use coffee capsules every year!! Far be it for me to come between anyone and their coffee but man, that’s a lot of waste.

Well the solution is here – WayCap make reusable, stainless steel capsules for your coffee machine. They come with 4 interchangeable steel filters, for extra fine to coarse grinds, and are compatible with certain Nespresso machines.

Get them here.

♥ Cedar and Stone Oils

I am a sucker for essential oils and I am always keen to try out new brands and blends. All of these smell amazing but Namaste is my favourite. Maybe I am really just a hippy at heart because I tend to adore anything that has patchouli in it!! 😉

Cedar and Stone are a small Aussie owned business in Kingscliff in Northern NSW. They have such a funky vibe going on!!

Get them here.

♥ Wolf Stainless Steel Drink Bottle

I know many of you resonate with wolf energy and love wolves! This is a perfect way to keep that energy close to you. The same print is also available in a lunch bag and tote bag. Isn’t he magnificent?

Love List ~ October 2017

October 8, 2017 · 2 Comments

I haven’t done a LOVE LIST in forever.

Actually it’s been nearly a year to the day since I did the last one!

I had a bit of a break from posting this year while I was getting my health sorted out. Now that I am feeling a bit better, I am trying to keep up with posting once a week. Remember the days when I used to smash out three a week!?

Anyhooooo…. I have had so many things in that time that I have been wanting to share with you, so it’s a bumper edition this time around. I hope you enjoy it!

♥ Antipodes Juliet Cleanser

Antipodes is a gorgeous NZ natural skincare brand. This is the first time I have tried anything in the range and I love the cleanser so much. It’s a breeze to use and it leaves my skin feeling soft, clean and fresh. It combines exfoliating action into the gel cleanser so you are doing two steps in one!

My daughter who has blemish prone skin keeps stealing it too. I love that it’s in a big 200g size so it lasts longer and it’s affordable too.

Check it out here.

♥ Kinderfeets Kinderboard

How awesome is this!!! I need an adult one.

These stunning Scandinavian Kinderfeets balance boards are made from eco-friendly beech wood. They were created to help children develop a sense of balance, stimulate their vestibular system and gain a deeper awareness of their body and body parts. It can help improve mental focus and functional strength.

You can rock it. Balance on it. Push it. Spin it. Flip it and slide. Nap, relax and read on it. Use it as a play house for toys or as a bench seat. Let the kid’s imagination run wild with it!

Brilliant for kids with sensory processing disorders, on the spectrum or with special needs. These have been selling out around Australia so be quick if you are interested!

Find out more here.

♥ Mellow Deodorant Paste

The awesome peeps at Happy Skincare have released another in their Woohoo range of natural deodorant pastes. This one is a bicarb-free, essential-oil free version. It’s perfect for all you sensitive souls who react!

In their typically generous fashion, Aaron and Phoebe are giving away their new product whenever you order something over $50!

Check it out here.

♥ Lemon Canary Tea

With Pukka being taken over by Unilever (check out our convo on Facebook about it), many people are now looking for alternatives. Personally, I love buying things from small businesses that handmake their products – there is just that extra love and passion that goes into it.

I recently bought the sample pack of all the teas from Lemon Canary to see what they were like and I am not disappointed!!! Jasmin has hand-crafted an organic, loose leaf range of blends including Love, Mystic, Happy, Meditate (awesome chai), Grateful, Summer, Winter, Dinner Party and Australiana. The packaging is so gorgeous and they would make perfect gifts.

Check them out here.

♥ Tuff Stuff Stain Removing Soap

I bought some of this stain removing soap about 18 months ago at an expo and was wondering how I was going to get another one. Luckily Julie at Flora and Fauna is now selling them!

They are amazing! You just wet it and rub it on the stain – the mesh bag helps to get right into the stain as a scrubber and the stains just wash out. It even worked on a pair of my daughter’s work jeans that had some really black and greasy patches. Julie mentions that a lot of people are using it for nappies and reusable cloth pads. The Tuff Stuff is a great price and lasts ages.

Check it out here.

♥ Eco by Sonya Rosehip Sunscreen

Do you hate the ghost look when using sunscreen?? My hubby often walks around looking like something out of the Walking Dead much to the embarrassment of the teens. 😀

Sonya Driver from Eco by Sonya has a new sunscreen out that solves that problem. This non-zinc, non-greasy formula rubs in clear but sill has broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection, a SPF30 and a water resistant rating of 3 hours.

Find it here.

♥ Lilypad Reusable Covers

The lovely girls at Biome sent me out one of these to try and I love it!! It’s a BPA free, food-grade silicone cover (inspired by lily pads!). You can convert any bowl you own to an air-tight sealed container for the fridge. It fits onto any smooth rim bowl or pot including glass, ceramic, wood, stainless and more.

You can even put it in the oven or microwave if you want to and you could even use it as a splatter guard. Whack it in the top shelf of the dishwasher when you are done. So brilliant.

Check it out here.

♥ Free Gut Health Video Series

Cyndi O’Meara from Changing Habits has teamed up with Kirsty Wirth from Kultured Wellness to bring us a free four part information series on gut health. I am in the midst of my own gut healing adventure and I am starting to discover that bad gut health is the the cause of so many health issues. It’s not just poor digestion, it’s fatigue, brain fog, mental health and more.  It all comes back to the gut!

I have registered and got my spot and can’t wait to learn more from these amazing ladies. When you sign up, they also give you a free ebook with healing gut recipes. Winning.

Check it out here.

♥ Aroma Leather Bracelet

This is on my Christmas wish list!! They are a leather and stainless steel aroma diffusing bracelet. A stylish  and safe way to wear aromatherapy oils without touching your skin. There is a felt pad in the stainless steel locket bit that you put a few drops of oil on.

Find out more here.

♥ Low Carb Healthy Fat Cookbook

I’m not a Pete Evans fan in particular, but I do like his recipes! Having to do months of gut repair and a strict diet, I was getting really bored with it but some new recipes have really helped keep me motivated. You definitely don’t have to be attempting to lose weight or be on a low carb diet to enjoy this book. The recipes are just simple, family friendly type food (that just happens to be low carb and high fat).

I have made a few things already and everyone has been impressed. I usually pop the photos on Instagram if you are interested – but be warned, I don’t do fancy styling or anything, I just take a quick photo before we eat!

Check the book out here.

That will probably be my last love list for the year now as I gear up for my Christmas Gift Guides – which really are a love list with more of a gift giving focus. Let me know if you have something that would be perfect for a Christmas gift!

Love List Sept 16

October 7, 2016 · 2 Comments

Love List Sept 16

I know I am a bit late with the September Love List as we are already into October! I have been on a little holiday and just chose to drop everything and relax for five days. Bliss!

Anyway, here is what made my Love List this month…..

tumeric-chai-latte

♥ Turmeric Chai Latte

My gorgeous friend Simone from Nourishing Hub sent me some of her latest addiction to try out. Now I will have to make a confession here and say that I have not gotten into the ‘golden milk’ craze as the thought of turmeric in milk was grossing me out.

But after my initial hesitancy I am now left wondering what took me so long. This stuff is delicious! It tastes like a chai latte with a very subtle hint of turmeric. It doesn’t taste ‘savoury’ like I thought it would. I can easily see myself having one of these every night after dinner. You could also use the powder in bliss balls, raw desserts and on bircher or in smoothies too.

Golden Grind is vegan, sugar-free, nut free, gluten-free, dairy free and preservative free, handcrafted in Melbourne.  It only contains turmeric, cinnamon, ginger and black pepper. I didn’t feel the need to add any sweetener as the cinnamon seemed to be make it sweet enough. Yum.

Check it out here.

Real Food Essentials Course

♥ Real Food Essentials Course

I have been a big fan of Kristin from Mamacino for years. She is an amazing whole foods cook, blogger and mum of three. Now she is sharing all her secrets of how she does it! The Real Food Essentials eCourse is a step by step, practical guide to saving time, money and your sanity by organising your whole food kitchen. You get 12 emails over three weeks so you can go at your own pace and then at the end of the course, Kris gives you an ebook with all the information in it.

It’s such an affordable price at $39! Find out more here.

Onyx Stainless Steel Kids' Plate

♥ Stainless Steel Kids’ Plate

I get a lot of mums asking what is the safest, non-toxic and non-breakable plate they can use for their kids. The Onyx stainless steel plate is finally back in stock and I’m so excited to show you. It’s so affordable at just $7.95 and it’s virtually indestructible! The divided bits are perfect for toddlers or kids with sensory issues and don’t like food touching.

Get in online here.

the-light

♥ The Light Between Us

I am always fascinated by what happens in our afterlife. This book from Laura Lynne Jackson was so interesting. She is a psychic medium (and ex-teacher!) and shares insights about her gift of connecting with those who have passed over. There are some really beautiful stories about people she has read for. I found it of great comfort and lessened my fear of dying significantly. I would recommend it for anyone having trouble with the grieving process. Have you read it?

Check it out here.

global-millenium-7pc-knife-block-set

♥ Global Knife Set

I did some chef training at Uni and the first thing you learn is that you need a darn good knife set. It really makes so much difference in preparing food. I love the Globals – they are so light to use and all stamped out from one piece of stainless steel so you don’t get breakage at the handle. There is also an amazing 10 year guarantee. If they look familiar, they are the knives used on Masterchef!

You can get them for less than half price and FREE shipping here.

mptsr

♥ Painful Teeth Tissue Salts

I am shouting from the roof tops about these amazing tissue salts. I have been using the Schuessler range for years for various things and always found them to be good. However I just had to share how great the Painful Teeth ones are.

Without regaling you with all the gory details, I had some teeth issues that left me in agonising pain for weeks. While the severe stages needed pain killers, I found that these tissue salts really helped take the edge off, lessened my need for as many pain killers and have been fabulous as an ongoing solution as needed. Apparently they are also good for teething babies.

Find out more here.

woolly-mates

♥ Wooly Mates

Natural new age mum, Anna is the brains behind these amazing Wooly Mates dryer balls. Since moving to Brisbane where there is often non-stop rain I have had to buy a dryer. These wool balls go in with your clothes and lessen the time needed to dry as well as softening your clothes and reducing wrinkles. It’s a great way to cut down your electricity usage and ease the eco-guilt a bit! I am a fan.

Check them out here.

As always, such a mixed bag! Hope you found something useful in my love list this month.

Love List Aug 16

August 30, 2016 · 17 Comments

It’s the end of August and we say goodbye to chilly nights and look forward to some more warmth of Spring! How has this month been for you?

Here are some things I have been loving in August.

Love List

Mandala Stencils

♥ Mandala Stencils

So excited about these beauties! The gorgeous Felicity has teamed up with a friend to bring you the brand new Yogini Divine Living Co.

Inspired by their trips to India where each morning they would watch the women decorate their homes, floors and surroundings with beautiful hand painted chalk designs. They learned these designs signify a welcome to guests, the divine spirits and good fortune. Back home in Australia, they have created a new collection of Yogini Mandalas stencils for us.

You can use them for a permanent artwork on your walls, floor, furniture, windows and fabrics using paint (or use spray chalk for a temporary mandala). How amazing would they be for weddings or celebrations? They come in all different sizes to suit your space.

The stencils are totally reusable – just give them a wash and store them in the tube they come with. So fun and easy. I am in love! They would make a gorgeous, unique gift for a special friend.

I am loving the idea of painting them onto a pot planter. You could make loads of these for Christmas gifts or the local school fete.

Until the 20th of October, you can get an exclusive 20% off everything in the store. Just use the code: NAM20 here.

craft course

♥ Crafty Course

My amazingly talented friend and natural new age mum, Jasmine is running a crafty e-course! Starting on the 5th of September and running for five weeks, you will learn how to make vintage style home-made gifts perfect for Christmas. You will get access till the end of the year and an e-book, so you can go at your own pace.

Screw-Infertility-available-now-750px

♥ Screw Infertility

Another beautiful natural new age mum is Robyn Birkin from Modern Day Missus. She has written a book called Screw Infertility! Lessons from a Fertility Warrior. Surviving infertility, IVF and miscarriage. It’s all about her heartfelt journey through infertility and out the other side. Beautifully raw and real, Robyn shares her story and tips to help navigate infertility.

Get it here.

Feel Good Food Packs

♥ Wholefood for the homeless

This is one of my favourite charity projects. Amber Magna is a girl with a big heart who has created Feel Good Food Packs. She believes everyone deserves the opportunity to eat food that helps them to thrive.

A typical pack contains items such as a trail mix, fruit and nut bar, jerky, healthy chocolate bar and energy ball and is given to a person experiencing homelessness or disadvantage in Melbourne and surrounds. You can help by donating, volunteering or spreading the word!

Check out the website here.

lilylolomakeup

♥ Lily Lolo

I have a 15 year old daughter and she loves makeup! Being a student with a casual job, the amount she can spend on makeup is limited (she needs fashion too!) It’s so tempting for her to buy the cheap toxic stuff but we try to compromise a little with her borrowing some of mine and me funding some as well.

Then along comes the natural range Lily Lolo for us to try out (with thanks to the gorgeous Kitsa at Emporio Organico) and we are in love. Fabulous quality products, all natural and affordable. There are some little gift packs as well so I know what my go-to for gifts is. The packaging is so trendy too. I think we are onto a winner here!

Check out Lily Lolo here.

Organic-coconut-cream-400ml-H2G_CNCRE2.400 -centre

♥ The Best Coconut Cream

I often get asked what is the best coconut cream or milk to buy. This is my hot tip – Honest to Goodness. It’s certified organic, has no weird stuff like thickeners added, has only one ingredient – coconut and the can comes with a BPA free lining.

It’s the cream of the coconut creams!

I only ever buy coconut cream by the way, not coconut milk. Coconut milk is simply coconut cream with added water, so save yourself some bucks and get the cream and add your own water. We use it a lot in cooking – it gives a lush flavour to curry, biriyani and laksa while adding in lots of good fats.

If you can’t find it at your health food store, have a look online.

That’s it from me this month. What have you discovered? What are you loving?

Love List July 16

Love List July 16

My monthly love list is back!

I know I haven’t been writing as much as usual. It’s all part of the healing process, slowing down and spending more time with my family. I have had loads of ideas though, so once I am feeling more on top of this adrenal fatigue that keeps hanging around, I will be writing a little more regularly. I hope you have all been keeping warm and well.
Here is what I have been loving this month.

whole food from the ground up

♥ Wholefood from the Ground Up

I was lucky enough to meet the whole food goddess herself, Jude Blereau recently. Her new book is an absolute cracker with lots of wisdom around eating whole food and of course some amazing recipes. The olive oil, lemon and rosemary cake is utterly divine.

Get it here.

broth2

♥ Bone Broth

The awesome people at Nutra Organics just keep bringing out really good things! Their latest is beef broth powders. Now you all know I love my broth but I tend to stick with chicken as beef is a bit smelly to cook. Well, you don’t have to worry with these dehydrated versions!

Just add to some hot water to make a cup of broth or use to sprinkle in your cooking. It will boost the nutrition and give you a fabulous flavour without all the nasties in stock cube powders. The broth is made from certified organic, grass fed bones and gently dried to preserve nutrients.

Get them here.

Earthing sheet

♥ Earthing Sheet

So a few months ago, my hubby read the Earthing book (pictured) and promptly went and ordered an earthing sheet kit from the lovely Laura at Earthing Oz. We have previously ordered some radiation protection devices from her and love them.

I wasn’t all that keen on spending money on something I wasn’t too sure about it but he was adamant it would improve my health! Well okay hubby you were right. I love my earthing sheet!

It feels exactly like a normal fitted sheet except this one has earthing properties. You plug it into the wall, switched off to connect to the earth. I haven’t told you much about it yet because I wanted to trial it for a while. I have been sleeping a lot more deeply and restfully and I really noticed when I went away for a week and didn’t take my sheet (lesson learned) that there was a noticeable difference.

One of my readers also got herself a set and she reported back good results also! I think earthing in any form is so beneficial. I am going to write more about this on the website soon, so keep an eye out.

If you want to check out the sheets, go here.

Aroma Bloom diffuser

♥ Aromatherapy Oil Diffuser

So spoilt! I won this amazing Lively Living diffuser on Facebook the other week and I am officially in love. I do have five diffusers of various types already (what can I say, I am an addict that likes oils in every room!) However, I must say this surpasses them all in terms of quality and appearance. My absolute favourite.

It’s an ultrasonic cold diffuser. The ultrasonic technology utilises high frequency vibrations to atomize the liquid, meaning there is no need for heat source. Each micro sized droplet is coated with a fine layer of the essential oil. This cool mist becomes a vapour which spreads evenly throughout the room, and is easily inhaled and absorbed.

Pathfinder Wolves

♥ Pathfinder Wolves Pendants

So beautiful! These gorgeous pendants are the soulful creation of Melbourne-based sisters LJ & Anna from Love is Your Compass. They are a range of hand carved wolf talismans, each with a different name and purpose, infused with reiki and love.

“We wanted to create wearable sacred tools which would energetically support the wearer to explore their inner world.”

Love List ~ March 2016

March 31, 2016 · 6 Comments

Well it has been a little while since I have done a love list!

In between moving to Brisbane and settling my kids in at new schools and uni and working on my charity project and updating the website (do you like the new design and logo??), it’s all been a little crazy around here at NNAM.

Here are some things that I have been loving the last few months….

4 My Earth Bamboo Bags

♥ 4 My Earth Bamboo Bags

I am in love with these new bamboo bags! They are so soft and light weight and perfect for replacing plastic bags when buying produce. I have also been using them damp to keep veggies nice and fresh in the crisper. Such a great way to reduce your plastic usage. Get them here.

♥ Erica Brooke Skin Care

Made by a Brisbane natural new age mum, this range is equal to any of the big name natural skin care brands on the market. Erica’s deodorant is already one of my all time favourite products and I think I am also going to add the Honey Cream Cleanser to that list as well. It’s so incredibly beautiful to use and of course, free of nasty toxins and weird stuff! Check it out here.

♥ The Wholesome Cook by Martyna Angell

I was lucky enough to meet Martyna a few weeks ago at a cooking demo and I grabbed a copy of her cookbook while I was there. I really love Martyna’s food philosophy (probably because it is so similar to my own) of eating whole foods for your own bio-individuality. So many delicious whole food recipes to inspire. Check it out here.

Small Steps to Fermenting

♥ Small Steps to Fermenting

I am about to embark on some fermenting. I find it to be all quite overwhelming and I am worried I am going to get it wrong and make us all sick! Luckily the gorgeous Lisa Corduff (guru from Small Steps to Wholefoods) has teamed up with her husband to break it all down step by step in their online course, Small Steps to Fermenting. Check it out here.

Crystal-Singingbowls_TheRawFoodStore_grande

♥ Crystal Singing Bowls

I was lucky enough to attend a crystal singing bowl healing workshop last month. I felt incredibly relaxed and in balance afterwards. It was a very magical, spiritual experience. You can check out crystal singing bowls at some new age stores or look for a healing session near you!

What have you discovered lately that you love??

Love List ~ Oct 15

October 29, 2015 · 23 Comments

October – it’s well and truly lovely Spring weather now! One of my favourite months of the year.  Here are the things I have been digging this month:

Natural Pigmentation Oil

♥ Natural Pigmentation Oil

I have really bad dark under eye circles, like really bad. I know it’s mostly a genetic thing and it’s something I’ve always had. I have been using the new Natural Pigmentation Oil that The Jojoba Company sent me, for about two weeks. I was loving it anyway – my skin just drinks up jojoba oil and it has a really pleasant, slightly citrus smell.

Then the other day I was looking in the mirror and wondered what was different. It took me a while to realize that the darkness under my eyes had lightened! Holy moly, I didn’t expect that! Isn’t it amazing what Mother Nature can do – we don’t need toxic, expensive cosmetics to get results!!

So, then I was fascinated to see what was actually in this (apart from the beautiful jojoba oil base). TJC have formulated this oil to specifically target pigmentation, age spots, freckles and uneven skin tone. It contains rumex, carrot oil, absynian oil, burriti oil, vitamin c and vitamin e. I don’t know what most of those are, but they are magic! I don’t like to wear a lot of make up so this is great for giving me a smoother and softer look.

You can get it online straight from The Jojoba Company here or take a look in your local pharmacy or health food store.

Happy Go Paleo

♥ Happy Go Paleo

I love Irena’s eating philosophy – mostly paleo but with a relaxed approach! So in this recipe book you will see some rice, buckwheat, quinoa and a little smattering of cheese and yoghurt. All the recipes are gluten free and refined sugar free though.  Beautifully styled and so much yumminess, this one is fast becoming a favourite in my house!

And yes, I can always use another (healthy) cookbook to add to my collection!  Get it here.

15-second-hand-items-that-make-great-gifts

♥ Pre-loved gift ideas.

Melissa from Frugal and Thriving wrote this great article with 15 second-hand items that make great gifts. I know a few of my friends that love a good op shop find as a gift! You could decide to do a ‘buy nothing new Christmas’ if you wanted to really get into the spirit of sustainability.

Read the article here.

Pear and Cardamom Cake

♥ Pear and Cardamom Cake.

I don’t actually cook loads of cakes and treats but when I have someone coming over for dinner, I do like to make something yummy but still healthy for dessert. Well, I have had Brenda Janschek’s Cardamom Cake on my to-make list for a few weeks so I thought I would try it out.

I had to make it dairy free for my friend so I used coconut oil and coconut milk instead of butter and milk. I also added some thinly sliced pear to the top (as I had one that needed using up) and I didn’t use the cloves (because I hate them!) It was soooo divine. The texture is so light and fluffy and the spices mingled beautifully with the pear. It’s also super easy to make. Thanks Bren, it’s a winner.

Get the recipe here.

Glasslock-Oven-Safe-9pc_large

♥ Glass Lock Food Storage

Hubby asked me what I wanted for Christmas this year (he’s a gem isn’t he?). Is it a bit nerdy that I thought of this Glass Lock set??? I have been using Pyrex glass containers but the lids end up warping after a while and they are not leak-proof or air-tight.

I have heard a few people say how good these are so I am keen to try it out. I love the little locks on the side to seal it up, that the lid is BPA free and you can use them in the oven as well. I do this a lot – bake something and then the leftovers go in the fridge with the lid on – easy.

Andddd hubby if you are reading, they are on sale right now!! If you want to check them out, go here.

♥ Upcycled Jumper Dog Bed

I love this idea! So easy to make a little bed for your dog or cat. Just use an old jumper or go and find a funky one at the op shop, a little bit of stitching, filling and you are done!

Details here.
