Choc-Hazel Bliss Balls
Now I am a bit of a bliss ball addict, but these are something really, really extra special.
After I made up this variation, I had to get everyone to come running and try them and officially declare me a genius!
Yes, they are that good. Think nutella, think ferrero rocher but healthy!!

I have everything ready to go, bar the vanilla bean paste. Can you recommend a substitute
any sort of vanilla Kirri is fine 🙂
Hi there can you recommend a substitute for Crio Bru please?
Hi Gemma, you could just leave it out – I can’t think of a good substitute – it’s really a different sort of product! 🙂
Hi Gemma,
Crio Bru is fantastic, however in this recipe I think cacao nibs would be a good substitute to try…
I thought I was having de-ja-vu. Now I realise it’s the universe telling me to make this bliss ball already!!
You are on the ball Brenda!! I just popped this recipe on it’s own post so it was easier to find 🙂
Hi there, just wanted to check with you about the crio bru. Do you brew it first then add it or just add the powder?
just the Crio Bru straight from the pack Lisa 🙂
thanks
These are TREMENDOUS! Thanks so much for the recipe. Multiple raves about them last night, when I made them for the first time.
Oh awesome Debra!!! I thought they were pretty spesh too!!
How many balls does this recipe make?
And any idea how much the ingredients cost for one batch? 🙂
Looks ridiculously yum!
Depends on how big you roll them! Sorry, I don’t remember how many it made. Ingredients cost vary so much – I usually buy my stuff in bulk through the co-op so I am not sure of a supermarket price. 🙂
I’ve got medjool dates and dried dates. Which should I use and would it be the same quantity? If dried, should I soak them first?
Hi Cathy, I use medjool but you can use either. You can soak if you like but it’s not necessary.
Yum! I just made these so delicious!! I subbed the crio bru with 2 tbsp of cacao butter and I peeled my hazelnuts and then roasted them, lovely!
So glad you liked them Zoe!! x
Oh wow – these are sensational! Thank you so much for the recipe. I watched my kids stuff themselves with Easter eggs all day yesterday and was carving a sweet but healthy treat for myself – these were perfect!
Thanks Julia! Glad you enjoyed them. 🙂
