Healthy Easter Guide

Healthy Easter Guide

Easter doesn’t have to be difficult for those of us who want to be healthy or have allergies.

It just takes a little bit of hunting around! I have a round-up of the best healthier Easter alternatives from some fabulous online stores.

Banjo carob easter egg ♥ Biome Eco Store

Celebrate Easter with Banjo The Carob Bunny, a delicious carob Easter egg made with Australian grown carob and real cocoa butter.  Only the purest natural ingredients are added to blend a mild, naturally sweet smooth carob Easter egg.  100% palm oil free, gluten free, preservative free & caffeine free.

Biome also has vegan dairy free eggs and chocolates to help those with allergies celebrate Easter.

♥ Gingerbread Folk

Karen and Dom make cute Choc-Gingerbread Bunnies that are individually packaged in compostable wrappers. These are ideal to send to school instead of chocolate, to use in an Easter egg hunt or decorate place settings at Easter lunch. The bunnies are a chocolate gingerbread flavour and are all natural, no colours, flavours or preservatives and totally egg-free!

Healthy Easter Guide - Allergy Free

♥ Allergysave

Sonya, the allergy expert from Allergysave has done it again and created a fabulous e-book filled with Easter recipes.

Having food allergies no longer means missing out! Easy Allergy Free Easter is full of delicious recipes for anyone with food allergies or diet restrictions. All recipes are FREE from Gluten and the Top 8 food allergens (Peanuts, Tree nuts, Wheat, Dairy, Eggs, Soy, Fish and Shellfish). Many recipes are also free from refined sugar. Available to download now at the Allergysave website here.

♥ Coming up this month on the website – Healthy Chocolate Recipes, Gifts for the Easter baskets that aren’t chocolate, Healthy Hot Cross Buns and more….

Happy tummies. What I love most about Easter is that we are farmers
And the whole family stops for a day to be together and play cards and eat yummy food and it’s just before
The craziness of dropping starts and the men (dads, uncles, pops) are all crazy busy working around the clock to get the crop in. So it’s a great catch up and chill out before
    The mad rush begins.

My favourite thing about Easter is just spending some relaxed and fun times with the kids. Our weeks are very very busy, and when Easter comes, everything stops! It’s the one time when we don’t travel to see family, we just stay home and enjoy Easter Bunny’s treats and craft activities he has left for the children!

I love Easter! I have 6 young kids and Easter morning is pretty much as good as Christmas here! I love to watch my kids hunt for chocolate and I love to eat the eggs they miss! For a chocolate lover, Easter is just the best! I have one child with a severe dairy allergy which is lifelong and he is a bit trickier to cater for but things such as gingerbread are great for him. My all time parts of easter are not food or family related I am afraid to say! I cherish the time as it reminds me to make sure the garden is all prepared before winter, and it is a very mindful time to “sow” and work hard to set our veg garden up 🙂 Every easter it is my final bit of hard yakka!

Easter – for me, the longest holiday period of the year and the most welcomed. Working on the farm, it is one of the times I can sit back and relax with my family, not worry about the weather, the
workload, but spend quality time with my wife and kids. We try to do something simple, like camping out together, and really enjoy chats over the open fire, telling really bad jokes and laughing together. It’s a great time to unwind, regroup and appreciate what you’ve got – in my case a gorgeous wife and three rambunctious kids. Life
doesn’t get better than this – unless or course you’re a chocolate
lover and take advantage of that little hopping critter who seems to find us where ever we go.

Happy Tummies! Watching children do the egg hunt in the garden is the best part. It’s very cute to watch. And this year we have 2 children to watch, so twice the fun!
