In July, I attended a Kora Organics “Do It Yourself Facial” workshop at my local Terry White Chemist. I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to try out these organic skin care products and have a bit of fun.
You might remember me talking about it on Facebook . To cut a long story short, I loved the products and my skin felt amazing after the facial. However, I was a little disappointed with the workshop (which was run by a Terry White beautician, not a Kora Organics representative).
Anyway, some of you suggested I contact Kora Organics and let them know about my experience. I didn’t really want to make a fuss or complain – after all the $40 I paid for the workshop was redeemable in products, so I wasn’t really out of pocket. Then, I thought that if it was my company, my passion, my products, I would want to know any or all feedback, particularly if someone wasn’t completely thrilled!
The lovely people at Kora Organics were very apologetic and posted me some products! I had already purchased the Cream Cleanser and the Hydrating Day and Night Cream. I also got to try the Balancing Rose Mist and the Luxurious Rose Hip oil.
who is that ‘masked’ woman??
So, what do I think about them?
I thought they were really good! All products contain pretty much 98-100% natural ingredients. The percentage of organic ingredients varies according to products. For example, the cream cleanser has 51% of total ingredients from organic farming, whereas the rosehip oil has 99%. The products are Australian made, vegan and not tested on animals.
A lot of the products contain Noni, which I had never heard of, but found very intriguing. Also very cool is the use of rose quartz crystal energised water in the products. The products are comparable in price to many other organic skin care brands. I like the fact that you don’t ‘pay for the name’.
I found the Hydrating Day and Night Cream takes a little while massaging to sink in, but maybe I need to use a tad less. I would definitely buy the Balancing Rose Mist again – it’s lovely going on just before you moisturize. At the workshop, I really liked the Hydrating Mask and I am keen to purchase that one too.
You can buy the products direct from the website or at stores around Australia. I would definitely attend a workshop again, but I would be leaning towards those hosted by Therese Kerr or someone who works directly for Kora Organics. There are a couple coming up this month in NSW you might be interested in. Go here to find more info.
