Well, it’s that time of the month again when I share with you some things that I have been loving.
Let’s kick it off, shall we?
Blossy Bloom. If you have a teenage girl, you will know how difficult it is to buy bras! They are either boring white sports type bras or they are highly inappropriate with padding (don’t let me get started on that!). Three Melbourne mums have come to the rescue! They have come up with a beautiful range of ethically made bras, specifically designed for teenagers. There is no padding or underwire, the designs are young and funky and very age-appropriate. I also think it’s fabulous that they do not use live models on their website either.
We were thrilled to try them out and my daughter reports back that they are very soft and comfy and she loves the cool designs. They also come with a gorgeous affirmation and a cute little zip up bag you can re-use for toiletries. I think these ladies are doing something really admirable. You can get them online at Blossy Bloom or throw a party! Check out what the girls are up to on Facebook as well.
Nature Direct Heavy Duty Cleaner. My lovely friend Catherine recently came to my rescue when I was searching for a natural alternative to clean my stove-top! I hadn’t had much success with any natural products and was still using the tube of chemicals from the supermarket in desperation. We do a lot of cooking around here and it gets pretty messy.
Cath posted me up some of the Nature Direct Heavy Duty Cleaner to try. I loved how well this worked on my ceramic cook top with the eraser block. It came up a treat with the same amount of elbow grease as the chemical ones. Definitely something I will be getting more of. Check out this photo too! Find out more from Cath at her Facebook page.
Colour Your Life book. The Natural New Age Dad and I have both been delving into this book – whoever gets to it first! It’s so interesting and has us hooked. I had not really looked much into colour therapy before so it was a real eye opener how effective it can be. The UK authors have 20 years experience of helping people with health, healing and personal growth with colour. It’s a library book but we both agreed we need to buy a copy as a reference book. Luckily, it’s only $15 over at Fishpond with free shipping!
NingXia Red. I have actually been trialling Ningxia Red on and off for a few months, just to see how I go on it and if it makes a difference. Okay, now I know why it’s so popular around the world – I do feel really good when I take it! I still have problems with fatigue, so I am always looking for something to support my body in getting more energy. This tonic is made from Ningxia wolfberries, other high antioxidant fruits and essential oils. It does contain a teeny bit of preservative, which I have been investigating and I am happy that in the scheme of things, it’s not too much for me to worry about. Even thought it’s not cheap, I certainly want to keep taking it. It’s also good for anyone that is unwell or needs a boost, so the whole family has been using it as needed.

Space Clearing Mist. I am a huge fan of Australian Bush Flower Essences (more on that next month) but I just had to share this one today as I have been loving it so much. I don’t know if you have been feeling it, but there is a lot of intense energy going on this year and I find it difficult to stay focused and calm. This has been a lifesaver. It’s fabulous for clearing negative energies and helping you to feel that you are in a safe space. My 15yo son (who has been known to occasionally scoff at my natural, new age ways) actually asked for some the other day after watching a scary movie. He ‘needed to clear the negative energy’. NNAM FTW!
For more info and to buy, check it out at my friend Alisha’s new website, Naughty Naturopath Mum.
Okay, so that is my top five! What things have you been loving and can’t get enough of? Share with us.
