I know I am a little late with my favourite things for September! I have been on holidays, having a relaxing break. I love holidays!
So here they are, five other things I absolutely loved in September.
The ENJO eye pad. (I won’t even make a corny iPad joke). How cool are these little babies! What a revolution in make up removal. No nasty chemicals needed, just wet the eye pad and wipe to remove eye makeup. I use it all over my face, rinsing in between. It works so well and it’s so gentle. Then, you just throw it in the wash. I am in love. Find out more here.
Paleo Chocolate. Have you noticed a theme here? Yes, chocolate seems to crop up in some form every month! Well, when delicious, healthy chocolate is sent your way, it’s hard to say no! Now you don’t have to be paleo to like this chocolate, you don’t even have to know what paleo is! All you need to know is that this yummy chocolate is organic, raw, gluten-free, handmade, dairy-free, vegan and low GI. I love the fact that sugar is not used, so that this treat becomes a guilt-free indulgence. It’s velvety smooth and tastes amazing – I love the little hint of Himalayan salt too. It goes down verrrry nicely. The kids love it too. I did share this time (good mum). And how funky is the packaging!
The lovely Charlie from Huntered and Gathered wants you guys to try it out too. Four of you lucky people will win two blocks each (one for you, one for the kids)! All you need to do is LIKE their Facebook page, Huntered and Gathered (go here) and leave this message on their wall “Natural New Age Mum loves chocolate and so do I”. I will choose the winners using random.org on Monday at 10pm, QLD time. Australian residents only. Go!
This giveaway has now closed. The lucky winners are SAMARA C, AMBER W, LAURA M, AMANDA S !! Congratulations!!
Necessity Fixaderm. This little Australian-made miracle in a bottle was sent to me to try out. I love anything with essential oils, so I was really keen. It contains Calendula, Lavender, Patchouli, Rosehip, and Tea Tree with six carrier oils, each with their own healing properties. It came in very handy while on holidays – one little bottle to carry in my handbag to treat a multitude of ailments! It works on acne, cuts, stings, grazes, rashes, dry skin, burns and more. This is a natural, new age mum’s first aid kit in a bottle. Love it.
Jewels. I love wearing funky, unique jewellery. I discovered this gorgeous bracelet on Facebook and couldn’t purchase it quick enough (actually I got two – one for a friend). It’s made of spoons ! How cool. Gaby from G-Creations sources vintage cutlery and turns it into jewellery. Upcycling hero! I visited her while I was on holidays at her market stall and had to get a necklace – it’s made from a spoon too. Check out other stuff Gaby makes at her blog here or on Facebook here.
The Beach. We were lucky enough to spend time at both Mooloolaba Beach and Agnes Waters Beach (in the picture) while on holidays. We do get to the beach a bit as we only live half an hour away from the coast, but it was lovely to be able to go down every day and soak up the serenity (and the negative ions). There is also something magical about falling asleep to the sound of waves at night-time.
